Ingredients:

For the Grits:
1 cup stone-ground grits
4 cups water or chicken broth
1 tbsp butter
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions:Prepare the Grits:

Cook the grits: In a medium pot, bring the water (or chicken broth) to a boil. Stir in the grits and reduce heat to low. Cook for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened and smooth.
Finish the grits: Once the grits are cooked, stir in butter, heavy cream, and cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Keep warm.
Cook the Shrimp:
3. Season the shrimp: In a bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.4.
